The Pool At Newport

Newport Beach Photos

Daddy and Colin building sand castles! Colin likes to throw stuff. He got a stern warning here.

A little fearful of the waves.

Newport

September 3rd-6th, we went to Newport for a family vaca.

Here is where we stayed
The fantabulous view from our room. Oh, and our kids.
Had fun at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. (Not the Newport Aquarium. That's in Kentucky.)
No Daddy! No beer!
Dinner at the Rogue Brewery.

Welcome Baby Hayden!

Baby Hayden was born July 30, 2010. She weighed 8lbs, 15oz (we breed 'em big!). She is a very pink, healthy baby. Sleeps quite a bit (even at 6 weeks!) and pretty laid back. Only cries when there is something to cry about; hungry, has burps in her belly. She is the easy one to care for!

Colin did not like the hospital situation. Would not go near mom or baby Hayden (or Bay Hayden as he calls her). Now he loves her! Wants to hold her, kiss her. He even helps me feed her! I am pleasantly surprised with how good he is to her.

Colin is so not thrilled!
I guess she's ok!

July 18th, 2010

On Sunday, we went on a family trip to Enchanted Forest in Salem. Colin loved the slides, but not the dark spaces (e.g. the White Rabbit hole, the dungeon) so much.

He really didn't like the roller-coaster. Oh well. Perhaps next year!

Colin's Room: After

Viola! Jared did an excellent job painting and redecorating, turning a "stuff" room into a little boy's room! (now what to do with all the "stuff"...)

Colin's Room: Before

Our guest room was converted into Colin's room. Its bigger than his old room, and the process was just easier that way. Here are the before photos.

Mid-June

Colin's birthday was June 12th. We went to Papa's Pizza with family to celebrate. I will have to track down photos from family members to post, since neither Jared or I took any ourselves! (we are terrible parents!)

April 23rd, 2010 - March of Dimes

Playing catch-up again! We "marched" just over six miles for the March of Dimes wearing our Farmers t-shirts. They even on Colin's size! Colin remained in the stroller the whole time. I had considered letting him walk part way, but the route wasn't super safe for a wee one to walk.

April 18th 2010

Went to the Woodburn Tulip Festival with Nana Bonnie. There were a lot of cars and it was difficult to take photos without having a stranger in them, but it didn't feel too crowded! I think next year we will go sooner in the season. Most of the tulips were out-bloomed. I think tulips are my favorite flower, so simple yet there is such variety! My favorite were the peach and yellow colored ones.

Saturday Market

This week has been absolutely gorgeous. This is what living in Portland is all about! Today we decided to pack up a lunch and head down to the Saturday Market. We also thought it would be fun to ride the max down too. Colin had a great time. He even got so excited, that he took his SpongeBob sippy cup and tossed it over the railing right into the river! I guess he couldn't stand the excitement any longer!
