We went to see Santa today with our friends Josh, Molly and Aiden. Colin didn't like Santa too much. He does look a little evil. Santa that is.

Word
Early October Colin said his first word: "step". Not "mom" or "dad" or anything normal. Since then we think we've heard him say, "duck" (which comes out, 'guck'), "book", and maybe "milk". My good friend, Ardie, thought she heard him say, "sorry". Other than that, he just makes noises and babbles as if he's really having a conversation.
I have no idea...

Another Friday Evening saving the city and an Afternoon in Eugene
This weekend was very eventful. Friday night was Halloween. Daddy went to the RoseGarden for the Season Opener for the Portland Trailblazers. They had a Fantastic win over the San Antonio Spurs. (Earth Wind and Fire performed the starting Lineup music). I stayed home with mommy and G&G Dingman to hand out candy to all of the kids that came to trick or treat.
Yesterday, mommy went to Seattle with Meeka, so daddy and I went down to Eugene for the Afternoon. The Ducks were in Berkely battling out a sad loss to the Golden Bears, but we got some good family time in. I got to play with my cousin Ainsley and see Aunt Jeanna (Jeannine) and Uncle John.
Until next time...To The Bat Cave!!!!!!!

Its Duck Football Season!!!
Yesterday Oregon kicked off their 2008 football season with a visit from their rivals, the Washington Huskies.
Colin was pretty excited about the season opener! Dad and son got matching Jeremiah Johnson jerseys to wear every game this season. We had a good time watching the game together.
Oh ya. The final score: Oregon 44. Washington 10.

Hair Cut
Well, it was time. Colin's hair was too long, according to some peeps. So we took him to Little Clippers (near where we used to live) last Friday. Now that his hair is shorter he looks more like a little boy than a baby. I miss the long hair! I told Jared that Colin isn't getting his next cut until his birthday.
We didn't like the wave so much. We washed the product out of his hair as soon as we could!

Stopped by the Fuzz
Holy crap! Is this actually a new blog by the Butlers?
I (andrea) was stopped by a policeman on the way to work yesterday. He thought that I wasn't wearing my seat belt. I was, and he fortunately gave me the "benefit of the doubt". Whatever.
On to Colin. He's almost a year old! Memorial Day weekend we went all went to Heather's (Jared's younger sister) and Tyler's wedding in Bend. Colin took his first couple of unassisted steps (unintentionally) on the 25th. He's taken a few steps since then, but doesn't really choose to do any solo walking. He enjoys walking while holding on to someone else's hand. In fact, he loves it. He still loves yelling, too. Or maybe he's singing along with the Phantom of the Opera CD. :o)

April
Colin usually knows what to do when a camera is pulled out. But sometimes its difficult to get a good shot of him for the frame for his monthly photos. Here are the many faces of Colin:
Disco Colin
Drunk Colin
Blind Colin
Finally - the 10 Month Photo!
We've done a little traveling the last couple of months to visit family. For Easter, we were in Eugene visiting Cousin Ainsley.
Just last weekend we went to Bend for Aunt Heather's bridal shower. Colin got to ride in a red wagon with (soon-to-be) Cousin Kylee!
